✔ Keep products in a locked container.

✔ Store out of reach and sight of children & pets.

✔ Avoid leaving edibles or infused drinks in the kitchen or fridge unlabeled.

✔ Clearly label all cannabis products.

✔ Regularly review storage with everyone in the household.

  • Only travel with cannabis if you are a registered medical patient.
  • Keep products in original packaging with labels.
  • Do not cross state lines with cannabis products (illegal federally).
  • Never drive while under the influence.
  • Be prepared to show your medical card if requested by authorities.

  • Employers are not required to accommodate medical cannabis use. Mississippi law allows drug testing and adverse employment action—even if someone is a certified patient.
  • Landlords may restrict or prohibit the use or cultivation of medical cannabis on their property. They are NOT legally required to allow cannabis use in rental units.
  • Cannabis remains illegal under federal law, which means protections under state law don’t guarantee immunity under federal statutes.

  • Patients may purchase up to 6 MMCEUs per week (roughly 21 grams of cannabis flower).
  • Monthly purchase limit: 24 MMCEUs (84 grams) in any 30-day span.
  • Possession at one time may be limited to 28 MMCEUs (98 grams) total.
  • Flower THC potency is capped at 30%.
  • Tinctures, oils, concentrates, and infused products may have a maximum THC content of 60%.
